Sarah + Luke : a Heartfelt Armidale wedding

It’s time to share more images with you from Sarah and Luke’s gorgeous Armidale wedding!

I first met Sarah while she was working The Powder Room (Sarah is a fantastic hair stylist).  When she asked me to photograph her wedding I was SO excited because I knew it was going to be nothing short of UH-MA-ZING!!  Over the months that followed Sarah worked tirelessly on many fine details for the day, including sewing THOUSANDS of beads onto a gorgeous hairpiece plus a matching belt for her gown. Add to that a hand-made garter, 400 buttons sewn onto cloth napkin holders, hundreds of home made jams and a fantastic collection of vintage porcelain for the table settings, and you have one busy bride!  With the happy help of family and friends everything came together brilliantly.

We started the day with Luke getting his hair cut by Roy, the local barber.  Roy has been cutting hair for over…ummm… shall we say…. quite a few years now!  Such a character!  The boys looked dapper from top-to-toe complete with their ‘happy socks’ and skinny ties.

Over at Annaleey Farm (Sarah’s family home outside Armidale) a passing storm caused some momentary concern, but we thought it was the perfect backdrop for Sarah’s radiance.  Didn’t she look stunning?  Certainly Bentley the Beagle thought so!

Emotions were at a high for both Luke and Sarah at St Peter’s Church, and as Sarah walked down the isle to Ben Harper’s “Forever” I don’t think it was just Luke’s eyes that were suddenly misty… (don’t mess up that make up Sarah!!).

Back at Annaleey the reception marquee looked so pretty with fairy lights and candles, and everyone eyed off the scrumptious sweets with eager anticipation (gluten free too!!).  Fantastic acoustic music added to the ambience and Kirk’s best man speech had everyone howling with laughter.

Ah Sarah & Luke, your wedding was definitely filled with sugar and spice and all things nice!  Thank you again for having me, plus my lovely assistant photographers Emma and Ed on board to photograph your day.  May you share many more happy adventures in the years ahead!

x Ann-Louise
