AKA: “Don’t rain on my parade!”

Meet Scott and Laura, a gorgeous couple completely devoted to each other.  Scott & Laura are renowned for their impeccable preparation and their Byron Bay wedding was a perfect example, with everything beautifully planned down to the last detail.  After many Excel spreadsheets were set in place the only variable, it seemed, was the weather.  On the morning of the wedding dark clouds intermittently heaved heavy showers and the seats for the outdoor ceremony were reluctantly moved under a marquee.  After the wedding the heavy showers turned into a huge downpour which well and truly set in, dumping (reportedly) 40mm of rain within the space of 5 hours!  With all of the guests inside the reception room more excitement was to be had in the form of a black-out, and the wonderful team at The Fig Tree Restaurant did a fantastic job keeping guests comfortable under candlelight.

Through it all Scott and Laura just looked at eachother and smiled.  They knew the secret: that in the end the rain didn’t matter.  They knew that in the end this wedding would stand testament to what weddings are truly about – friends, family and love.  And they knew their love would outlast whatever the weather threw at them.

Scott & Laura, you are awesome.  I officially salute you!
