Paul + Grace’s Brisbane Wedding : Full

Ladies & Gentlemen, let me tell you, Paul & Grace’s Brisbane wedding was a treat.  A deliciously sweet one, that you want to last forever!  Grace happens to be an event manager herself, and when it came to managing her own wedding she exceeded in every way.  Surely she is some kind of wedding event magician!  And Paul, well he’s like a rock.  A Greek rock at that, which is even more dependable and solid than your average every-day type of rock (those ruins in Athens have lasted a long time after all!).  Together Paul & Grace make a great team, and it was an absolute privilege to photograph their beautiful wedding.

The day started with Paul, where his groomsmen dressed him (as is Greek custom) from top to toe.  The joyous Greek music had us all tapping our feet!  Then over at Grace’s venue she was the picture of perfection, with hair & makeup by Brush & Blush and divine gown by Venita Drennen.  Her delightful dogs, Molly & Max, were suitably dressed for the occasion too!  Grace arrived at the West End Greek Orthodox church in a classic vintage Dodge, and we were soothed and fascinated by the hypnotic chanting of the Greek Orthodox ceremony.  Then, happily married, they were assaulted by rice (Haha!!)

Later at the The Marriott the reception room had us all gasping.  The sensational flowers and reception styling by Kate Dawes was absolutely exquisite.  We “oohed” over the mouth-watering lolly buffet complete with Greek sweets (YUM) and “aahed” at the gorgeous pots of herbs as bonbonniere for the guests!!  The photo booth complete with lips and moustaches had everyone striking a pose, and the guest book was particularly inspired – guests typed messages on a retro type writer & posted them into a little red letterbox!  A decadent feast including seafood and a whole roast lamb left no-one hungry and wishing they still had room for cake.  There were tears of joy and laughter during the heartfelt speeches and the dancing that followed included… you guessed it… the Zorba!!!

Paul & Grace, thank you from the bottom of my heart for having me on board.  Love is sweet, and your wedding was like a little slice of heaven. I wish you both many years of delicious happiness ahead!
